Yeah, spring has arrived in its full beauty. Already last week I showed you our blooming crocuses. Now they are gone and the daffodils started their briht yellow.
And it is only March. I can’t even remember such early daffodils here in Bavaria.
Our upcoming embroidery file perfectly matches this weather (thank you, god of weather).
Twittering birds are fluttering around the flower, the bird house is ready to build a nest, easter chicks are blipping.
I sewed a little cosmetic pouch for me, the two birds suit perfectly here.
The clamp pouch got the little flower.
I added running stitches around each of the motifs. After embroidering I ironed Vlieseline H640 on the back of the fabric and pulled the thread tight when sewing.
With such nice wooden picture frames you can present your appliques the right way:
For the motifs you see here I used the matt cotton thread Silk Finish by Mettler. This is a perfect choice together with the wonderful fabrics of Bunny Hill.
Of course you can use the general 40 Poly thread that will add the typical shimmer.
