Now, after the first frost in this autumn I am thinking about to get my thick wool jacket from the storage and the warm shoes. And we already discussed to replace the summer beds by the cuddly winter beds. Maybe there will be some more warm nights? Not sure.
Anyway, autumn arrived at our home. Table runners in Yellow-Orange-Red, pumpkins, candles and Chinese lantern flowers. I still have to wait for the chestnuts and acorns.
And I made some Mug Rugs for me. And, as used to, a whole collection of them.
Do you like them?
They are not too obvious, but feature lots of appliques. So they can be used everywhere.
I did of course some hand-quilting to enhance them. Do it like you want.
Isn’t the little bird cute with the acorn leaf?
The stipes of the pumpkins are squiggled … like the real ones.
When using volume batting you can make the leaves look plastic. Look at the veins of the acorn leaves.
Can you see how realistic they look?
I love Mug Rugs very much, they are laying around all the house. They is very useful because of the wooden furniture.
