Dresden Plate

Again I spent my weekend in my sewing room.

For a long time a was planning to do a Dresden Plate .

Thanks to my Accuquilt it was easy to cut all the pieces. So I focussed on sewing all together.

First I did one plate, and made a pillow cover out of it.

I surrounded it with hand quilting and a braid of roses fabric. It has the same motif like the pattern.

This the pillow cover is looking much nicer and stands tighter.

In since there was some leftover I did a half Dresden plate as a placemat.

The flower leafs are sewed on invisibly, can you see it (you can’t, they are invisible) 😉

I hope that with these beautiful spring colors I can spread a little breath of spring through our home. We are still waiting …
